About me
Award-winning mixologist Tim Weigel has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota, the cocktail connoisseur knew at an early age that he wanted to be behind the bar. In 2009, he was on the ARIA Resort & Casino opening bartender team, where he served as a bartender until 2013 before joining Hakkasan Group. He started as a lead bartender for the company’s flagship restaurant eventually rising through the ranks to oversee the cocktail programs at their portfolio restaurants & lounges nationwide. Currently, he is a lead bartender at Circa Casino & Resort and a teacher’s aide at the UNLV Hospitality program.
Over the course of his career, Weigel has received numerous accolades which include winning numerous cocktail competitions, completing extensive beverage educational courses, and stellar customer service. He has completed the “Master Mixologist” accreditation with the United States Bartending Guild, Certified Spirits Educator through CSS, BAR 5-day graduate, and is a certified Cicerone. Serving a range of different clientele daily, Weigel’s ability to adapt to different demographics and desires is integral to any beverage team. When he’s not perfecting the art of the cocktail, he can be found practicing Capoeira, enjoys homebrewing, and relaxing with family.
