About me
Chef Michael Elefante is a Tucson native who grew up in the kitchen helping his father and grandfather make pasta, pizza and sauce. In order to gain more experience in the culinary world, Chef Elefante joined the culinary team at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain in 2010. He moved up numerous ranks, worked in many kitchens and most recently held the position of Chef de Partie at Cayton’s Burger Bistro. Now he is co-owner of his family’s restaurant Mama Louisa’s, an institution in Tucson’s culinary scene. He has brought new ideas and focuses on modernizing the old world traditions and cuisine of Mama Louisa’s while still maintaining the nostalgia and heritage of the restaurant. Another big part of his chef life is his competition BBQ, Guido-Q. His team has taken many titles in KCBS and BCS. When he’s not in the kitchen, he can be found watching Food Network and spending time at the softball and baseball fields with his wife, daughter, and son. You can watch Chef Michael Elefante on Guys Grocery Games, Nothing But Noodles Episode Season 24 Episode 9.
