About me
Lauren Coulter began her career as a pharmacist before discovering her passion for the restaurant industry. After graduating pharmacy school, Lauren and her husband, Chad Coulter, launched Louisville’s first “paint and sip” businesses, blending creativity with community engagement.
In 2014, they pivoted into the restaurant space, opening LouVino, a Southern-inspired small plates and wine bar concept. Over the next several years, LouVino grew to five locations across Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati, establishing Lauren and Chad as innovators in the dining scene.
Building on their success, the couple introduced Biscuit Belly in May 2019, a concept centered on chef-driven Southern classics with scratch-made biscuits at the heart of the menu. Since opening the flagship location, Biscuit Belly has expanded to three corporate locations. The team also manages five joint venture locations and have six franchised locations.
Lauren remains deeply committed to creating memorable dining experiences while expanding Biscuit Belly's footprint across the U.S. When she’s not growing the business, she enjoys time with her family, including her husband Chad, their son Grayson, and their dog Teddy.
